The New Haven Solid Waste & Recycling Authority, like everyone, has been monitoring the spread of COVID-19 throughout the U.S. In recognition of Mayor Elicker’s issued State of Emergency, we are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health officials to ensure that we have the right plans and resources in place to safeguard the health and wellness of transfer station customers and employees and our Administrative personnel.
Effective March 16, 2020, the NHSWRA Administrative office is closed to the general public and will not re-open until further notice. We expect to re-evaluate the office opening status on March 23, 2020. This office may remain closed to the public after that date.
The NHSWRA Transfer Station will remain open for commercial, municipal & residential customers during our normal operating hours M-F 6:00am-3:00pm. Citizen Drop-Off area will remain open 9:00am to 12:00pm M-S. Residents, unable to obtain coupons to access the drop-off, but wishing to dispose of bulky waste, electronics, mattresses, leaves and/or yard waste should present a picture ID with a New Haven address.

Make Payments Online
We now offer a new portal to view and pay your bills online! E-Bill Express. Online payments allow you to pay anytime and anywhere, including on your mobile device.

It’s easy to enroll! After setting up your secure username and password, you’ll be able to view and pay bills, as well as see your account status and payment history. NOTE: Your ID is your drivers license number.
All of your data, including payment information is securely stored and is compliant with industry best practices for data protection standards. None of our staff are able to see or access your payment accounts.
Data is updated on E-Bill Express daily to reflect your current balance. Please note: New payment funds will be credited to your account within 48 hours.

To achieve this goal, the Authority works toward increased source reduction (avoiding the creation of waste), recycling, and environmentally safe recovery or disposal.
